ABOUT US
Kinderwood/ Imagine Bilingual is a half-day program serving children ages 3 to 14 years old. Inspired by the works of Montessori, Reggio, and traditional childhood education, Kinderwood/ Imagine Bilingual is designed to support eager learners, encourage independence, and nurture the whole child. The program values outdoor education, individuality, respect, creativity, and acceptance. Children learn through group lessons, independent work, and imaginative play. The developmentally appropriate curriculum is catered to the needs of a multi-aged classroom.
The indoor and outdoor environments are designed to encourage independence for each child. We strive to provide a unique learning experience in the community and an atmosphere where children can succeed academically, socially, emotionally, spiritually and personally.

Kinderwood/ Imagine Bilingual is a 4-day program running Monday through Thursday from 9am to 1pm.

PROGRAMS
3 - 6 Year Old Classroom
The younger classroom is for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten. The environment is designed to foster sensorial exploration while creating a love of learning. The developmentally appropriate curriculum is designed for a multi-aged classroom and allows students to progress at their own pace.

6 - 9 Year Old Classroom
This classroom caters to families who want additional social and learning opportunities for their homeschooled children. (Because this is a half-day program, children 7 and older must be registered as homeschoolers in the state of North Carolina). We continue to provide an environment for independent learning while offering guidance and support to help children succeed.

9 - 12 Year Old Classroom
This upper elementary class serves 9-12 year olds.

Middle School Classroom
We offer educational opportunities to middle school-aged children (ages 9-14) in preparation for high school and beyond.

BILINGUAL EDUCATION
Our Programa en Español program teaches the Spanish Language thru Project-Based Immersion. We offer one hour of daily Spanish language instruction from Native and Near-Native fluency speakers.
Our Mission:
Kinderwood/ Imagine Bilingual is a place for children. It is their space to learn, create, process, socialize, grow, laugh, move, succeed, work, and thrive. The environment is designed to nurture the whole child. It allows the children to learn at their own pace, within their interests, with the guidance of the teacher. The teacher’s role is intentional, quiet, meaningful and encouraging. We highly value outdoor learning opportunities in addition to traditional classroom experiences.
